This is my journey. My name is Holly and I’m 35. I had my first baby in 2008 and now am trying to conceive again. I feel very strongly about being healthy, eating right, being as toxin free as possible and being positive. My goal with this blog is to journal my 2nd pregnancy and all of the things that I encounter that would pose an issue to remaining as toxin free as possible. From medication, to the flu shot, to eating healthy and not consuming preservatives, dyes or processed foods to cleaning out household toxins. I already did this once on my first pregnancy and have been consistent in keeping toxins out of my home. However, I will be double checking and keeping a log of anything I might have missed, tips on what you can use, all natural herbs to help with sickness and ways to stay healthy while being pregnant and then during nursing.

I work 40+ hours a week, so I am just like most of you. I have a babysitter that comes to my home to help me during the week for 3 hours a day while I work from my studio. I either get up to begin my day at 3:30 am or stay up until midnight just to make sure that I can have time with my son around my work schedule. I didn’t take the normal 6 weeks off of work as I couldn’t afford to do so. I was back to work within 1 week of having him and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. I appreciate all of the time I had with my son while I worked. He was in a crib next to me day in and day out. I only recently hired a babysitter now that he is mobile and into everything! So, if I can juggle work, eating right, work out, mow the yard, tend to the monthly bills, balance both my husbands company and my company, spend quality time with my son and still wash out all of his poopy cloth diapers, you can too. You just have to decide what you want and off you go. Don’t look back. You will be so proud of yourself when you are done.  I welcome any comments and questions as my journey continues. Please email me at

May you be blessed with health, love and prosperity.  ~  Holly

Awesome! I’m so glad you are following my blog. I’m having a blast doing it and have a list of questions that I will be blogging about in the upcoming month. I would love it if we lived closer. You would be my first choice in picking a doula!
